Details
The purpose of the Navy Energy Awareness Program is to publicize the goals of the Navy Energy Program, increase Naval military and civilian employees¼ knowledge of energy efficiency and conservation, develop programs that will change the behavior of Navy personnel resulting in decreased energy use, and assist Naval activities in meeting energy reduction goals through awareness education. Dean Ryan developed the publication and distribution of the "energized", a 4-page monthly newsletter distributed to the DON energy managers worldwide. Each month Dean Ryan, researches, writes, graphically illustrates, edits and produces the entire publication. In addition, Dean Ryan was responsible for various media outreach activities, such as; researching, writing, editing and distributing articles for Federal and private sector publications regarding DON Energy Program news and developments. Furthermore, Dean Ryan provided quality assurance on the address database for various energy awareness mailings. Dean Ryan was solely responsible for working with the NFESC and the database contacts to update applicable information. |
